Osaka, Japan - 19 September 2025 - Nandina REM was selected as one of only 20 global startups invited by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to participate in this year’s Global Startup EXPO (GSE), a premier platform spotlighting high-potential companies shaping the future of industrial innovation and supply chain resilience.
Represented by COO Dr. Dazril Phua and Circular Partnership Manager Morgan Tang, Nandina REM’s participation underscores the company’s growing relevance across Asia’s advanced manufacturing landscape and the increasing recognition of its role in building resilient, sustainable material supply chains.
Held in Osaka and co-organised by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), JETRO, and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), GSE convenes leaders from Japan’s US$4.19 trillion economy. The event connects frontier technology companies with major industrial players seeking new pathways to decarbonisation, material security, and next-generation production.
Throughout the program, Nandina REM engaged with leading organisations including Toyota Tsusho Material Incorporated, NTT West, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and SBI Investment, alongside key partners across Japan’s broader industrial and investment ecosystem.
“Japan is a key growth market for Nandina REM. As global industries rewire how goods are built and traded, access to high-performance, low-emission materials like circular carbon fibre will be central to strengthening supply chain resilience,” said Dazril. “We are committed to building long-term partnerships in Japan - supporting local innovation today while investing in regional resilience for the future.”
In the near term, Nandina REM is focused on rapid scaling with Japanese partners to expand local access to critical materials. Over the longer horizon, the company aims to deepen its presence in Japan as it develops advanced solutions for aerospace, energy, mobility, and high-performance manufacturing sectors across the region.
