Circular Process Engineer
Location: Singapore
Department: Operations
Nandina REM is creating new sources of advanced materials for manufacturing supply chains. We are an early stage company specialising in the use of deep tech and material science to recover and remanufacture critical resources, creating a rapidly developing market for low-emission circular materials such as carbon fibre composites and metals.
We are looking for a Circular Process Engineer with three to five years of relevant experience to join our growing team in Singapore.
The Circular Process Engineer will support the development, optimisation, and day-to-day operations of the carbon fibre recovery processes at our remanufacturing facility. In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior engineers to ensure material recovery techniques run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory and quality standards. This role is ideal for an early-career professional passionate about sustainability, engineering, and material science, and who is eager to contribute to developing a circular economy.
Please note, candidates must have the legal right to work in their jurisdiction of hire. Nandina REM is unable to sponsor local work visas for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Process Operations:
-
Support the day-to-day operations of the carbon fibre recovery process. Assist in the handling, preparation, and analysis of composite materials.
-
Support troubleshooting efforts to resolve any technical issues or process anomalies in real-time, working with senior engineers to implement corrective actions and process control measures to minimise downtime and maintain smooth operations.
-
Monitor and ensure compliance with internal material quality standards, and with environmental and safety regulations in the handling and processing of materials.
-
Assist in process documentation and maintain accurate records of process parameters, test results, and deviations.
Process Optimisation:
-
Monitor and analyse process performance to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
-
Assess key performance indicators (KPIs) by conducting regular data collection, analysis, and process monitoring.
-
Support the scaling and optimisation of processes to enhance throughput while maintaining high-quality standards.
-
Maintain comprehensive documentary records of process data, process changes, and improvements, and report findings to senior engineers and management as part of continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process audits and reviews.
-
Assist in the preparation of technical reports and process performance analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
-
Work closely with the R&D team to test new materials, techniques, and technologies for carbon fibre recovery and remanufacturing.
-
Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure implementation of the latest safety and regulatory requirements, and other forms of compliance.
