Circular Product Technologist

Location: Southeast Asia, preferably Malaysia or Singapore

Nandina REM is creating new sources of advanced materials for manufacturing supply chains. We are an early stage company specialising in the use of deep tech and material science to recover and remanufacture critical resources, creating a rapidly developing market for low-emission circular materials such as carbon fibre composites and metals.
 

We are looking for a Circular Product Technologist to join our growing team in Singapore. You will operate as technical lead in developing reprocessed materials products in line with customer requirements and demand. In this role, you will be responsible for creating product specifications and ensuring the rigorous quality, safety, and compliance standards of all our advanced material outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development:

  • Takes the lead in coordinating across business development, operations, technology, sustainability and external research partnerships to develop new end product applications for Nandina REM circular materials.

  • Design and develop rapid prototyping models using Nandina REM circular materials to meet customers requirements.

  • Manage product testing and material qualification to assess performance, durability, and compliance with industry standards.

  • Design and deploy analytics model to support data-driven decisions for product enhancements and innovation.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners, quality assurance firms, and customer supply chain teams to align product design with internal production capabilities.
     

Continuous Improvement:

  • Support the development of guidelines and standards to technical challenges and product technology recommendations.

  • Drive continuous improvement reviews at project and process level.

  • Support systematic capability building to enable the company to keep up to date with innovation trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate technical requirements with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
     

Technical Documentation:

  • Provide technical recommendations that have a measurable impact on company performance.

  • Create and maintain documentation related to process workflows, product specifications, and technical reports.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders on process improvements and product development progress.

  • Actively drive the identification, development and implementation of new technology and opportunities to optimise operations.
     

Skills & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in materials science, product engineering, production technology.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Five to eight years of experience in a manufacturing environment with strong knowledge in either Metallurgy, Composites, and/or Plastics

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in process simulation and design software.

  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, including strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with specialist and non-specialist stakeholders.

  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.

  • Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO, AS).
