Commercial Operations Enablement

Nandina REM is creating new sources of advanced materials for manufacturing supply chains. We are an early stage company specialising in the use of deep tech and material science to recover and remanufacture critical resources, creating a rapidly developing market for low-emission circular materials such as carbon fibre composites and metals.

 

We are seeking a dynamic and strategically-minded Commercial Operations Enablement lead to play a pivotal role in fueling the growth of our innovative material solutions. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a function that bridges structure and creativity, ensuring our commercial sales team is equipped with the resources, processes, and insights needed to effectively engage the market and drive adoption of our groundbreaking materials. You will be instrumental in streamlining workflows, fostering collaboration, and ultimately empowering our sales team to achieve ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Commercial Planning & Process Optimization:

  • Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes across the commercial function, including lead management, opportunity tracking, proposal generation, and reporting.

  • Establish clear timelines, milestones, and accountability for key commercial activities.

  • Identify and implement technology solutions (CRM, project management tools, etc.) to enhance efficiency and visibility across the sales pipeline.

  • Continuously analyze commercial performance data to identify bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.
     

Sales Enablement & Resource Development:

  • Develop and curate compelling sales collateral, presentations, and product information that effectively communicates the value proposition of our innovative materials.

  • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and product teams to ensure sales materials are scientifically accurate, commercially relevant, and creatively engaging.

  • Establish and maintain a centralized repository for all sales-related resources, ensuring easy access for the commercial team.

  • Develop and deliver training programs to equip the sales team with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to succeed.
     

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:

  • Serve as a central point of contact and facilitator between the commercial sales team and other internal departments (R&D, marketing, operations, legal).

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication to ensure alignment and efficient information flow.

  • Participate in strategic planning meetings to provide insights from the commercial perspective and contribute to overall business strategy.
     

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of commercial operations and sales enablement initiatives.

  • Develop and deliver regular reports on commercial performance, highlighting key trends, challenges, and successes.

  • Provide actionable insights to the commercial leadership team to inform strategic decision-making.
     

Fostering Creativity & Innovation in Sales:

  • Develop frameworks and processes that encourage creative approaches to sales and business development.

  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate innovative sales strategies and messaging.

  • Identify and share best practices in creative selling and market engagement.
     

Skills & Experience

  • A creative mindset with the ability to translate technical information into compelling commercial narratives.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop data-driven solutions to drive commercial insights reporting.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, and build strong relationships across teams.

  • Experience in implementing CRM and project management software.

  • Experience developing and implementing commercial processes and workflows.

  • Demonstrated success in creating impactful sales collateral and training materials.

  • Experience in a start-up or creative design environment is required.

  • Familiarity with materials science or related industries is beneficial but not essential.
