Critical Metals

Nandina REM’s critical metals are reclaimed from decommissioned assets and reprocessed to meet aviation-grade specifications - retaining the very properties that made them flight-worthy to begin with: lightweight, strong, and resistant to corrosion.

Lightweight

Up to 30% lighter than traditional alloys.

Corrosion-resistant

Engineered for harsh environments and extending product lifespan.

Aviation-grade Strength

Exceptional strength and thermal stability for demanding applications.

7075 Aluminum Alloy

With zinc as its main alloying element, this material exhibits exceptional strength. As part of the 7000 series, it ranks among the strongest alloys available, offering strength comparable to various types of steel. Its durability makes it well-suited for high-stress applications, including use in the aviation industry.

6061 Aluminium Alloy

This heat-treatable alloy offers medium to high strength, exceeding that of 6005A. It provides excellent corrosion resistance and weldability, though its strength decreases in the weld zone. Additionally, it possesses moderate fatigue strength.

2024 Aluminium Alloy

The 2024 aluminum alloy is a heat-treatable material with copper as its main alloying element. In its fully soft, annealed state, it is highly malleable and can be heat-treated to achieve high strength after forming. With its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, it is commonly utilised in aerospace applications.
